Why was my offer reward reversed?

Learn why offer rewards may be reversed and what happens to your Bits.

An offer reward reversal, also known as a chargeback, happens when an offer provider cancels a previously credited reward.

Why do offer reversals happen?

Offer providers may reverse rewards for several reasons, including:

  • Incomplete requirements. A required task or milestone wasn't completed correctly or within the specified deadline.

  • Refunded or canceled purchases. A purchase required for the offer was refunded, canceled, or disputed.

  • Eligibility issues. You may not have met the offer's requirements, such as being a new user or using a supported device.

  • Duplicate completions or rule violations. The provider may have identified duplicate activity or a violation of its terms.

  • Crediting errors. A reward may have been credited incorrectly or more than once.

A reversal doesn't necessarily mean you did anything wrong. Eligibility issues, tracking problems, and provider errors can also result in reversals.

Will I lose my Bits?

BitRewards covers most offer reversals, meaning we absorb the loss and you keep your Bits. If a reversal isn't covered, the corresponding Bits will be deducted from your balance.

You can check your reversals by visiting your profile page and viewing your chargeback history. Reversals covered by BitRewards are labeled "Covered."

What if my reversal wasn't covered?

If you believe a reversal was made incorrectly, contact live support to request a review.

Include the following information, if available:

  • The offer name and provider.

  • The task or milestone you completed.

  • The amount of Bits reversed.

  • The date you completed the requirements.

  • Screenshots or purchase receipts showing successful completion.

Our support team will review your request and determine whether the reversal can be covered. Coverage is not guaranteed.
